Rebecca Hart, M.D, a Houston area Bioidentical Hormone Doctor, has helped hundreds of men and women prevent and overcome the effects of hormonal decline and other age-related diseases.

Rebecca Hart. M.D. has used bioidentical hormone replacement therapy to help women overcome menopause and perimenopause and men transcend andropause in Harris County and League City, Texas.

Dr. Hart is particularly interested in treating patients with who have problems with their hormones. She commonly employs the use of estradiol, testosterone, progesterone, thyroid hormone, and the most current oral and injectable diabetes medications tailored to each hormonal problem. Her expertise is in providing the safest methods of replacing low hormone levels in the body. From injections to gels to patches to pellets, she has helped patients select the method of hormone replacement that is right for them. Additionally, she is certified BIOTE provider, and can provide the highest quality, long acting, bioidentical pellet therapy.

Dr. Hart is a Board-Certified Family Physician. She completed her BA in Biology and Anthropology at Rice University, her MD at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, and her residency at Baylor Family Medicine Residency Program, where she served as Chief Resident.

She began her career as a rural Family Physician in La Grange, Texas practicing full-scope family medicine, including obstetrics. She later joined the faculty of the University of Texas-Houston and served as the Medical Director of UT Family Practice Associates before becoming the Director of the UT Houston Family Medicine Residency Program. She went on to serve as Director of the University of Hawaii Family Medicine Residency Program, instructing residents and students in rural medicine to serve populations in Hawaii, Micronesia, and the Pacific Rim.

During her 20 years in academics, she maintained an active clinical practice. She is the author of several articles in the medical literature concerning women’s health, cesarean section, sexual health, and residency training, and has received federal grant funding to support programs to improve the health care of impoverished people in the Pacific as well as in inner city Houston. She is an experienced surgeon, and maintained active cesarean section privileges during her 25 years teaching family medicine and obstetrics. Her knowledge of women’s health as well as obstetrics and full range family medicine makes her unique in her care for patients in all stages of life.

She regularly is invited to speak for the Texas Academy of Family Physicians on educational topics such as menopause, hormone health, endocrine topics, women’s health issues, urologic issues, and BHRT.

Her clinical interests include healthy aging, hormonal health, women’s health, menopausal and andropausal care, sexual health, contraception, and male and female urologic issues.
